Happy Monday! I can’t believe it’s already September! Today I’m sharing some of my favourite places to go visit in my hometown – Hamilton, Ontario. Hamilton aka The Hammer, 905, The City of Waterfalls, is about 45 minutes south of Toronto. It is about 25-35 minutes away from St.Catherine’s and about 40-45 minutes away from Niagara Falls. It’s very different from Toronto. Hamilton is quieter, more calm, suburbs feel.
If you love Shawarma, hikes and waterfalls and need a break from the busy city life of Toronto, Hamilton would be a great day trip.
Here are some of my favourite places in Hamilton:
You can no longer walk along Albion falls. You will be fined *
If I may, I suggest getting the large Chicken and Rice plate from Lulu’s, it will fill you up for the entire day. I promise you, it is absolutely delicious! Another food suggestion, if you love samosas, go to Himalayas and Sensational Samosas! Also, if you’re a fan of The Peach Festival (late August), CNE (Toronto) and similar festivals, I suggest going to Art/Supercrawl in downtown Hamilton later this month! There’s performers, delicious street food and more! Also, if you are going to visit and go for a hike, please be careful, alert, bring a phone and water with you.
